Launch of Maj Gen GD Bakshi’s Books and Conferring of Shashwat Alankar Puruskar
New Delhi, Sunday, 16th Feb 2025: THE GLOBAL SANATAN AID FOUNDATION, began its journey of hosting catalytic events in Bharat, on Sunday, the 16th of February , 2025 at the India International Centre, New Delhi, with a rather efficacious launch of General G.D. Bakshi’s two books: First, his Autobiographical writing,”Beyond Fear: A Personal Journey to Soma” and the re – release of his Historic compilation on Sanatan, “History of Hinduism”, which was launched last year.
The event which was hosted by Dr. VIVEK KAUL from Oxford, the founder of Global Sanatan Aid Foundation, and Santan Aid India, with the support of Sangam Talks, was honoured to host as it’s Chief Guest, The Honourable Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt.Gen. Gurmit Singh and as it’s Guest of Honour, Lt. Gen. H.S. Lidder.
The event also saw the felicitation of leading Indic scholars, with the “Shashwat Alankar Puruskars” including Anil Dhir, Adv.Amita Sachdeva, Ankur Pathak, Manoshi Sinha, Rahul Dewan, Surya Roy, Vedveer Arya.
A particularly Illustrious gathering of the NCR, saw who’s who of Defence, Literattis, Academia and accomplished citizens. Together they were enthralled, at the Tales from Gen Bakshi’s book, recounting the parallel lives of an initiated Sage, living out his Karmic life on the Battle fields, full of exceptional Bravado, Brilliance of the winning War strategies, Inspiring Genius that lead to Death Defying Courage and Finally “SOMA” or the Elixir of Nirvana, which the Brain itself releases, to Protect and shield a Soldier from the life threatening danger he faces.
The atmosphere thick with Gen Bakshi’s magniloquent and infectious notes, not only filled the Hearts of the audience with the “JOSH” of Nationalism, but also, those of the speakers who followed him.
Including Lt.Gen. Lidder, who too recounted the circumstances in which their exceptional batch won it’s unparalleled merits, as well as the Governor himself, whose speech echoed with the same passion that the General seemed to have ignited in his heart, as his instructor, when he was a young cadet.
Global Sanatan Aid founder, Dr. Kaul, delivered his vote of Thanks, with the Promise of Securing the Future of Sanatan, with the establishment of the SANATAN WELFARE AND ADVISORY BOARD in the immediate future.
The evening ended on a high note, with the felicitation of a 99 year old veteran of INDIAN NATIONAL ARMY, Mr. MADHAVAN PILLAI, who didn’t waver once, while he sang “Kadam kadam badhaye ja”, in a grandiloquent voice resounding of the values of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The memorable evening, undoubtedly left an indomitable mark of Undying Nationalism, in the hearts of all who were in attendance.
